Buffalo Bills Training Camp Day 5: Five Players You Must Watch

Are you ready for some...training camp?
I am. And it's finally here.
On Monday, the Buffalo Bills ended their 2010 offseason and began their 2010-2011 season as they hit the field at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, New York.
I'm about as pumped as humanly possible for what in reality is practice. I am very eager to see if this new regime is really leading the team in the right direction.
I do my best to make the training sessions more exciting by examining intricate aspects of all the positional battles.
Parrish is not really a "sleeper" or "darkhorse" in this rundown because of his past success with the Bills and the six years he's spent with the club.
Roscoe became the NFL's premier punt returner between 2007 and 2008. But as we all know, his world-class athletic talents never translated to big numbers.
What we didn't know was whether his lackluster performances were due to totally idiotic playcalling from Dick Jauron's staff, or the simple fact that Parrish's small frame just won't cut it in the National Football League..
My optimism prevails here, and I say that Jauron never correctly utilized the lightning bug that Parrish is.
Pay attention to how Chan Gailey works the former Miami Hurricane star into his wide open offense. If he becomes a major part of the Bills attack, they'll be much more fun to watch.
The majority expects second-year tight end Shawn Nelson to win the starting job and become a major factor in the Bills passing game.
Derek Schouman may disagree.
In terms of athletic ability sent down from the Lord himself, Nelson wins the battle hands down.
However, Schouman looked like Trent Edwards' favorite target last year from training camp through week two when he suffered a nasty knee injury.
It's hard to fathom that the defensive end that lead the SEC in sacks is not showing up on anyone's radar screens, but Antonio Coleman is starting his NFL career with a very low profile.
Because of his size, 6'1", 250 lbs, Coleman was an afterthought in this year's draft.
Buddy Nix and the Bills front office just couldn't ignore his 24.5 career sacks and nabbed him immediately after the draft.
He seems to be an ideal fit as an outside linebacker in the Bills fresh 3-4 defense. He will be given one objective—get to the quarterback.
He's one of the newer additions to the Bills roster.
A low-key free agent who fills a need. He's got experience with defensive coordinator George Edwards and his exact 3-4 alignment.
Oh yea, and he's a former teammate of Kawika Mitchell, when they upended the Patriots in the 08' Super Bowl.
What is this guy's deal?
Is he another product of the timid coaching style of the Jauron era, like Roscoe Parrish?
The former third-round pick, has not contributed to the Bills defense in his first two seasons, and this is after he joined the club with some high expectations out of Virginia Tech—he was a quality pass rusher in the ACC.
The switch to the 3-4 and the new coaching staff helps his chances at gaining some playing time.
Training camp is Ellis' first shot at showcasing.
