Buffalo Bills Fantasy Football 2012 Offensive Draft Steals

Paul Rados - Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Buffalo Bills' key players entering the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB
Fitzpatrick completed the 2011 fantasy season earning 245.78 fantasy points or an average of 15.36 fantasy points per week. He logged 24 touchdowns, 23 interceptions and 3,823 yards. In 2012 Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills will face the New England Patriots twice, as well as the Indianapolis Colts once providing three solid opportunities to capitalize on a high fantasy point day. While I would be hesitant to have Fitzpatrick as my weekly QB1, he could prove to be a solid bench-quarterback in deeper leagues.
Fred Jackson, RB
Jackson completed the 2011 fantasy campaign earning 169.60 fantasy points or an average of 10.60 fantasy points per week. He netted 934 rushing yards with six touchdowns and 442 receiving yards. Jackson could have some of his better games in week two against the Kansas City Chiefs, week seven against the Tennessee Titans, week 14 against the St. Louis Rams, and Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson is a solid running back that would be an asset on any fantasy team.
C.J. Spiller, RB
Spiller completed the 2011 fantasy season earning 119.00 fantasy points or an average of 7.44 fantasy points per week. He recorded 561 yards on the ground with a pair of touchdowns and 269 receiving yards with two touchdown receptions. Like Jackson, Spiller should see some increased yardage against teams with a weaker defense against the run as well as his potential upside on special teams. He is currently owned by only 53 percent of fantasy football participants making him a solid addition to your watch list entering the season.
Stevie Johnson, WR
Johnson completed the 2011 fantasy campaign earning 142.40 fantasy points or an average of 8.9 fantasy points per week. He netted 1,004 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on the season. Much like Fitzpatrick, he should have strong weeks when the Bills face off against the Patriots and Colts. While he may not be considered one of the elite fantasy receivers, he is definitely a solid addition on any fantasy roster.
David Nelson, WR
Nelson finished the 2011 fantasy season earning 95.80 fantasy points or an average of 5.99 fantasy points per week. He recorded 658 receiving yards paired with five touchdowns on the year. Nelson's knee injury paired with his anticipated role with the team once the season begins makes it difficult to give him a solid look at this point.
Scott Chandler, TE
Chandler finished the 2011 fantasy campaign earning 72.90 fantasy points or an average of 4.56 fantasy points per week. With his limited role as a fantasy point earner, it is very hard to give him serious consideration for any fantasy roster at this point.
