Buffalo Bills Lose to New England Patriots 25-24
The Buffalo Bills lose the New England Patriots 25-24 at Foxboro Mass. on Monday Night Football. The Bills were out classed by the New England Patriots making it 16 out of the last 17 games New England Patriots have beaten the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots were led by there legendary Quarterback Tom Brady 39/53 378 yd 2td 1int. who destroyed the Bills mediocre defense with passes to Wes Welker, Randy Moss and Kevin Faulk. The Patriots open the game with a 51 yard kickoff return to the Bills 49 yard line. The Patriots drove to the bills 40 yard line and on 4th and inches the Bills defense stopped the Patriots. The Patriots on there second drive Patriots drove the football all the way down to the Bills 27 yard line and Patriots kicker Steven Gutkowski missed a 44 yard field goal. The Bills scored on there second drive when they drove 6 plays 68 yard for a touchdown. The highlights of the drive was a Trent Edwards 15 yard run and Edwards 20 yard screen pass to Fred Jackson. The scoring drive was capped off by a Edwards 11 yard touchdown pass to Shawn Nelson. On the Patriots third drive ended with Tom Brady being sacked by Aaron Schobel. The Patriots opened up the second quarter scoring with a 14 play 72 yard scoring drive. The highlights of the drive was a third down pass from tom Brady to Kevin Faulk for 17 yards, 4 yard run on third and three and Brady 13 yard pass to Wes Welker to the Bills one yard line. The drive was capped off by a Fred Taylor 1 yard touchdown run. The Bills opened up there second quarter scoring on a Tom Brady 26 yard interception return by Aaron Schobel on a screen pass to Fred Taylor. The Patriots go 9 plays 68 yard for a 20 yard Field Goal. The highlights of the drive was a 31 yard catch by Randy Moss. The Field Goal ended the first half with the Bills leading Patriots 14-10. Third quarter opened up with the Patriots driving from there own three yard line to Bills 36 yard line where the Bills stopped the Patriots on a 4th and 2 when Reggie Corner broke up a pass from Tom Brady to Wes Welker. The Bills possession following the Patriots turnover drove the football 7 plays 42 yards and Rian Lindell kicked a 40 yard field goal to extend the Bills lead to 17-10 over Patriots. the highlight of the 7 play drive was 27 yard catch and run by Terrell Owens to the Patriots 28 yard line. the Patriots opened up the fourth quarter with a 11 play 68 yard drive which ended with a Steven Gutkowski 28 yard field goal. The highlights of the Patriots drive was a Tom Brady 10 yard run. The Bills drive play yards for a touchdown. The highlights of the drive was a 18 yard catch and run by Fred Jackson on a screen pass on a third and fifteen and ten yard run by Trent Edwards on a third and eight. The drive was capped off by a ten yard touchdown catch by Fred Jackson on a another screen pass. the Patriots scored on a touchdown on a 11 play 81 yard drive with a 18 yard touchdown to Ben Watson. The Bills Terrance McKelvin fumbled the next kickoff and it was recovered at the Bills 30 yard line by the Patriots. The Patriots scored on a Patriots 16 yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Ben Watson after the McKelvin turnover. The patriots finished with 441 total yards and bills finished with 276 yard.
