Buffalo Bills RB Marshawn Lynch Cleared To Practice

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo's running back corps is getting healthier with Marshawn Lynch set to play in the Bills' preseason finale against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
Coach Chan Gailey said Lynch looked good in returning to practice Tuesday for the first time since hurting his ankle in a loss to Washington.
"It didn't look like there was any residual effect, so we're looking forward to watching him Thursday night," Gailey said.
Lynch's return means the Bills will have two-thirds of their running back rotation healthy. First-round draft pick C.J. Spiller has carried most of the running load the past two preseason games, and Fred Jackson has been out since breaking a bone in his left hand against the Redskins.
Wearing a brace around his hand, Jackson practiced Tuesday on a limited basis. Jackson took part in individual drills and also tested his injured hand by catching a few soft passes.
"I felt like I was able to go full-go, but I still can't hold the ball in my left hand like I wanted to with this brace that I have on," Jackson said. "Hopefully, next week, I could come out and do some more stuff."
Jackson is a long shot to be ready for Buffalo's season opener against Miami on Sept. 12.
Coming off his first career 1,000-yard season, Jackson opened training camp as the Bills starter and was expected to get a fair share of carries despite the addition of Spiller.
Spiller has proven to be the Bills offensive star this preseason. In the past two games, he has 22 carries for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and three catches for 35 yards.
Gailey said veteran linebacker Kawika Mitchell was absent from practice due to an injury. Gailey would only describe the injury as "a little issue" which the player was having checked.
Cornell Green, who's projected to start at right tackle, did not practice after hurting his knee in a win over Cincinnati on Saturday. Gailey said Green would be game-time decision.
Rookie offensive tackle Ed Wang practiced on a limited basis for the first time since hurting his left hand Aug. 2. Wang had his hand extensively wrapped and there's still no timetable on when the fifth-round pick out of Virginia Tech could play.

Buffalo Bills Running Back Problems

The Bills backfield had a rough preseason opener. Fred Jackson left the game early with hand and ankle injuries. It sounds like the ankle issue is likely just a sprain, but the hand injury looks to be pretty serious. Early word is that Jackson will miss the rest of the preseason and is highly questionable for the season opener.
To make matters worse, Marshawn Lynch also hurt his ankle in his limited action. At this point, there’s no news on the severity of the injury.
These injuries may not seem that significant, but they’re going to change some things in both re-draft and dynasty leagues.
CJ Spiller is going to get increased practice team with the first unit and could make a push to pass Jackson on the depth chart. The talented Clemson rookie was already making up ground pretty quickly.
The Fred Jackson injury should also quiet any Marshawn Lynch trade rumors that were floating around. It would be highly unlikely the Bills decide to move him now that their No. 1 running back is on the shelf.
Spiller should be moved up the re-draft boards a little, and dynasty league owners who took him in rookie drafts could see him produce a little sooner than expected as well.

Buffalo Bills: Marshawn Lynch On The Trading Block

Since the Buffalo Bills drafted CJ Spiller 9th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft, the future of Marshawn Lynch has been in question. Having run-ins with the law, it seemed that Lynch would be making his way out of  Buffalo soon.
And after reading an article on NESN.com, it seems more likely that a deal could happen.
As multiple sources, including NFL Network, noted, CJ Spiller has been getting reps in camp with the first team.
Now that Spiller has been locked up to a deal, it seems more likely that Lynch could be dealt in camp.
NESN did report of maybe a possible deal to the Patriots. "While no rumors about the Patriots have surfaced, one would have to say that Lynch would be a significant upgrade over the current backs on the roster."
It would also make sense, as the Patriots are known for bringing in players with questionable character.
The Seattle Seahawks, and maybe the Denver Broncos could be potential suitors for Lynch.
What we know right now is his future in Buffalo is looking bleak, especially for a team that looks to be in major rebuilding mode.

Marshawn Lynch Trade Request Out Of Buffalo?

2009 was not the best of years for Marshawn Lynch.

The season started with a three-game suspension for an arrest and subsequent guilty plea to a weapons charge. The veteran running back followed that up by losing his starting job to Fred Jackson midway through the season.

All in all, Lynch rushed for a career-low 450 yards and two touchdowns in just six starts for the Bills in 2009.

So it comes as no surprise that the troubled running back may want out of Buffalo.

Per a report from Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, the word around the Bills locker room is that the 23-year-old Lynch wouldn’t be upset if he was traded to another team.

Sure, Lynch is a talented, dual-threat running back with only 41 career games under his belt. We all know that this guy has the ability to make plays on Sunday.

But with a draft class stocked with a wide variety of skilled rushers, which NFL team is going to want to trade with the Bills for a guy who can’t stay out of trouble and who wasn’t talented enough to start for a team that scored just six rushing touchdowns in 2009?

Or more importantly, how high of an offer will it take to be worth it for the Bills?

Buffalo Bills Marshawn Lynch "Redemption"

Marshawn Lynch has gone on record saying that not playing will be particularly difficult for him in the first three weeks of the regular season this fall. There are few that like suiting up on Sunday and competing more than the Bills hard running feature back. Prohibited from playing or practicing from Sept. 5 to Sept. 28, Lynch already has a plan in place on how he, intends to stay sharp while he is away from the team. It does not stop me,"said Lynch."I am just not going to be able to participate with the guys out there but as far as working out, it still continues for me. Lynch will continue with his weight room routines to maintain extra muscle he has packed on his frame this off season and has some running back specific drills that will put him into action on his own. A lot of it will be runs, set up cones down the field making moves on them, individual work, running, lifting, continue doing the same things just not too many team periods,"said Lynch. But the Bills top back is going to stay in his playbook during his league imposed down time so remains sharp with his assignments when he returns. With almost three weeks before he is forced to sit out three games, Lynch has begun the process of getting accustomed to watching his team play without him. But he plans to have himself in the proper frame of mind for his forthcoming absence from the team. I have sometime to get mentally prepared for it and playing in these preseason games, I will get on the field,"he said. I don't think too much of it will be tough. When asked is there a silver lining of his three-game-absence could be fresher legs at the end of the season, Lynch gave a shoulder shrug. Well as hard as I run, I don't know if there will be fresher legs, "said Lynch."But they will be pretty ready. Stay out of trouble Marshawn.

Training Camp Day 9 Marshawn Lynch Suspension Upheld

Marshawn Lynch suspension for the first three games of the regular season is now NFL law after NFL spokesman issued a statement by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has upheld the Suspension of Marshawn Lynch. Lynch had appealed the three game suspension for the violation of the league personal conduct policy that was handed down in March this past spring, Goodell saw no reason to change it. Lynch will miss games between the Patriots, Bucs and Saints. It is the league policy and we are obviously disappointed said head coach Dick Jauron. We lose a real good football player for three games. Hopefully we hope that Marshawn will learn a great deal form it. He is a guy we have a great belief in and we really like this man on our team but he is paying a price. His teammates will miss him in the line-up. It is obviously a disappointment said Trent Edwards We are going to miss him a lot, he is a big time player for us and a Pro Bowl caliber running back. We will open up holes for those guys and make some plays. Unfortunately Marshawn won't be there, but we have guys who will step up. It is tough that he has to go through that, But I think he is going to learn a lesson and move on from there. Jauron confirmed that Fred Jackson however, will be the Bills number one running back for those first three games regular season games. Going into the season unless something happens it would be Freddy he said. Freddy would be the starter. But both will be playing a lot.

Buffalo Bills Marshawn Lynch Fresh Start" Pre-Training Camp Update July 22

This year will be a tough year for Marshawn Lynch because he starts the season with a suspension from the season opener against New England Patriots. Marshawn Lynch is as tough as they come, but a severe high ankle sprain in 2007 and and a badly bruised shoulder 2008 cost the Bills feature back to miss four and a half games over his first two years. Marshwan Said, The more hits, the more likely they are to suffer injuries. It is part of the game and the law of averages. In Lynch's case a lot of times the yards he had to fight for can make his 300 touches last year, I feel more like 400. He is not exactly the type of Running Back that shies away from contact. Marshawn is fully aware of his punishing and physically demanding Running style. The coaching staff wants to effectivley manage his carriers and plan to doing so by making use of Fred Jackson. To what degree remains to be seen until the season starts against the New England Patriots. The Bills plan on using the no-huddle offense and that means that there will be a rotation system between Lynch and Jackson. Over Lynch first two Seasons averaged 3.64 yards a carry in September and October(271-987 yds), 4.5 per carry in November and December (259-1,164 yds). With numbers like that and fresher legs in the second half of the season Lynch could do some serious damage. The Bills will have three capable Running Backs for the playoff push in December and that could put the Bills over the top for the final playoff spot. Finally, this Bills Offense should be ready to explode with the addition of Terrell Owens as Co-Number One Wide Receivers with Lee Evans.

MARSHAWN LYNCH "GET THREE GAME SUSPENSION"

The NFL will announce a three game suspension of Marshawn Lynch on Thursday mourning. the league is suspending Marshwan Lynch because of a guilty plea in for gun possession in early March. Marshawn met with Commissioner Roger Goodell on March 17 to discuss a series of off-field incidents that have drawn scrutiny of the league. Marshawn told reporters in Buffalo the next day that the Commissioner would not tolerate his off field actions while, a member of the NFL. Marshawn was arrested on gun possession charges in Culver City, California on February 11, 2009 and he, also plead guilty for misdemeanor for hitting a pedestrian in downtown Buffalo and leaving the scene of a crime. Marshawn and the Buffalo Bills management were prepared for a suspension but they did not know the length of the suspension. Marshwan Lynch rushed for 2,152 yards over the last two seasons and he played in the Pro Bowl last season.

MARSHAWN LYNCH pleads guilty to misdemeanor possession of a firearm in California. Lynch agent told ProFootball.com that Lynch will serve no jail time. Marshawn Lynch will still have his case reviewed by the NFL. Lynch could still face suspension under the NFL Personal Conduct Policy. Finally, cut this Thug from the Buffalo Bills Roster.

FRED TAYLOR VISITING THE BUFFALO BILLS

The Buffalo Bills are finally, sending a strong message to Marshawn Lynch that his "Crazy Ass Behavior" will not be tolerated anymore by Bills Management. Marshawn has not learned a lesson from his last two encounters with law. Marshawn has to be taught a valuable lesson before his career is over before he is 27 years old. The Bills could help salvage his career by cutting Marshawn from there roster and that will send a clear message to Marshawn Lynch that his type of behavior is unacceptable for a NFL Player. This message was sent to a "Future Hall Of Fame Member Cris Carter" who had similar problems with the law as member of Philadelphia Eagles and they cut him from there roster and that message help save his life and his Football career. The Buffalo Bills can go with Fred Jackson as starting Running Back and Fred Taylor as there backup. This will be a strong backfield and there will not be a large drop off in yard production. Fred Taylor will bring some much needed leadership to this football team and some confidence to Trent Edwards. The Buffalo Bills Management and Fans can no longer count on Marshawn Lynch as there starting Running Back anymore so, they might as well cut him loose or trade him for a high draft pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Finally, Fred Taylor will also, be visiting the New England Patriots and it seems like they are the leaders in the clubhouse when it comes to signing him to a new contract.

MARSHAWN LYNCH ARRESTED ON "GUN CHARGE"

The Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch is in trouble again with the law. Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Culver City, California on felony possession of a concealed firearm. The Culver City Police Department released a statement with details of the arrest. Three men were in a 2006 Mercedes and one of the men was recognized as Marshawn Lynch the Bills starting Running Back. The police officers field investigation lead to the discovery of the loaded weapon. The police officers made the determination that the weapon belonged to Marshawn Lynch. Lynch, lawyer M. Gerald Schawrtzbach said that his client Marshawn was not involved in the incident and that he, was in California visiting friends. The Los Angles Sheriff Department inmate database has Lynch being booked at 7:12 p.m. and released on 35,000 bail at 8:45 p.m. NFL Spokesman Greg Aiello said, that they are monitoring the charges against Marshawn Lynch. The Bills confirm that Marshawn has been arrested and they are trying to gather all the information they can about the incident, Bills President Of Communication Scott Bercthold. Marshwan Lynch was involved last summer in a hit-run accident in downtown Buffalo were he paid a fine 0f $100 and did not face any criminal charges as part of his plea agreement. This clown is facing the same charges that Plaxico Buresss is facing in New York City. The Buffalo Bills management should make a statement and cut Marshawn Lynch from there roster tomorrow.
